Writing Workshops…
09.10.25
Recently I’ve partnered up with the incredible Cate Wise to host a series of playwriting workshops at the Thame theatre.
Our aim of the project is to encourage all writers, whether experienced or new to the craft, to write more and see it through to production. One ideology I’m certainly trying to instil in these writers is that a lot of doors may seem closed or gatekept, so sometimes we must bang the door down ourselves.
The workshops run over the course of six weeks, covering a measure of topics like plot, theme, character, dialogue and much more. A large part of this which we have Thame Players to thank for is being able to allow writers to experiment with seeing their work on stage, as a handful of Thame Players actors are working with the writers to bring characters to life.
It’s an opportunity we are hugely grateful to have, and we owe it to the theatre for supporting the development of grass roots writing.
If you’re interested in taking part in a free six week playwriting workshop, please contact me! No experience needed. It’s a lovely thing to have a purpose to write.
