Complete Plays
‘Bloody Hell, Billy!’
Bloody Hell, Billy!’ is Molly’s first full length play, which was produced by Thame Players in October 2023. Selling out, it was a roaring success.
‘This play began with a simple idea, a vampire with a phobia of blood. I loved the irony and soon ‘Billy’ was born. I toyed around with his environment, working out what would push him to his breaking point and what would urge him to make various decisions. I like character led stories, but as this play is quite surreal I needed some strong plot points too.
As much as ‘Billy’ is a fantasy play about a curse, it’s also a story about a dysfunctional family trying to work through and understand their issues.
I’m grateful to Matt Sparkes, who led the entire workshop phase, enabling me to take the script even further. Also to the Thame Players, who allowed the show to go on and produced it in their beautiful theatre.
We are hoping to take ‘Billy’ to some larger venues soon.’
‘Death at the Distillery’
‘Death at the Distillery’ is Molly’s first murder mystery, and has been published with Lazy Bee Scripts. It is awaiting production.
Co-created with Tom Honey, this murder mystery is designed for fans of Peaky Blinders. Set in 1920’s Birmingham, Sam Stallard and his gang are having some trouble with a mob from Camden. What happens when Charlie, Sam’s brother, kidnaps the only daughter of London’s most notorious mobster before being found dead in the courtyard?
This ‘whodunnit’ is scripted to take place over a three course meal with an audience encouraged to dress in era appropriate clothing.
Murder at The Marigold Inn
Performed by Thame theatre’s murder mystery group, ‘Murder at The Marigold Inn’ was a hit across various venues in Oxfordshire.
Set in the lounge area of a Devonshire B&B, Mary must do all she can to save the Inn from closure while wrangling her wayward niece and nephew.
With an eccentric list of characters including Herman the Vicar, Scott Freeman the MP and Krystal the local youth, this murder mystery is bound to bring a laugh to the table.
Ideally performed in front of an audience seated around dining tables over the course of a meal, though alternatively this could be played pantomime style.
Please contact Molly if you’d like to put on this cosy, feel good production.
Turbulence at The Tea Party
Turbulence at The Tea Party is a magical romp of a murder mystery which features some of Lewis Carroll’s most beloved characters.
Springing from Molly’s love of Alice in Wonderland, this play is a light hearted evening of laughter, guessing games and clue hunting.
Produced by Thame Players around various Oxfordshire venues this play has been well received and reviewed.
Similarly to Murder at The Marigold Inn this play could either be done dinner style or pantomime style.
